AIB Champions an Inclusive Workplace

At AIB, our mission is to inspire individuals who are blind to achieve their maximum potential through meaningful employment. In line with this mission, we are proud to celebrate the growth of our team.

In the past four years, 37 AIB team members have advanced into roles with increased pay and responsibility, underscoring our commitment to professional development and financial independence. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that 48% of those promoted are blind or have low vision, directly reflecting our dedication to inclusivity.

Through a combination of targeted training, mentorship, and career development initiatives, we continuously invest in our team members’ success. For example, Norma began her career as a Material Handler and, through her hard work and initiative, she has grown into a Shipper Packer role, assisting Warehouse Supervisors with various warehouse operational tasks.

This October, as we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), we take pride in recognizing the contributions of our team members with disabilities. Their skills, perspectives, and dedication enrich our organization every day.

As a leader in the community, AIB champions an inclusive workplace where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive and contribute their unique talents. Our workplace isn’t just inclusive; it is a place where diverse talents shape our success.
